Dunn's River Falls

Just a short distance from Ocho Rios, Las Chorreras, as it called by the historical Spaniards, is a growing phenomenon. Martha Brae Rafting

Jamaica's # 1 rafting attraction, was established 40 years ago. Licenced rafters will take on 30-foot-long bamboo rafts over a 3 mile stretch of the beautiful river, approximately 1-hour ride. During the ride visitors may learn about the "Legend of Martha Brae" or enjoy a swim. Before the raft ride, however, visitors may enjoy a stroll through Rafters' Village which offers a picnic ground, bar area, souvenir shops, a swimming pool and restrooms. Guests may also visit "Miss Martha's Herb Garden" which houses several Jamaican herbs famous for their medicinal and healing properties. After disembarkation from the raft at "Martha's Rest", visitors can walk through souvenir shops or enjoy the lounge area.

Blue Hole

One of Jamaica's hidden treasures, the blue hole is un-commercialized and true paradise in every sense of the word. To get to this wondrous location one must travel of rugged country side road passing lush green vegetation and feeling the cool breeze of the hills. Once you get there you will first appreciate the quiet and tranquility of the area. Once you get there, jump into the cool blue green water that is blue hole. Once inside the pool, you will notice the hidden caves fauna and flora around you. When you are done swimming in this natural pool, take a 10 minutes hike to the secret falls. Traverse to the top of the falls where you can jump or wing on ropes from the cliff.

Luminous Lagoon

This is the best place to observe and study microorganisms that live and thrive where salt and fresh water combine. These organisms make Luminous Lagoon famous as they glow. At night the lagoon sparkles and glistens when disturbed. The 45 minute night tour takes you along the lagoon, where visitors also get a chance to swim surrounded by the magnificent green, glistening waters. While here, visitors might also learn about why the harbor glows. Recount the tour as you may go to the Glistening Water Restaurant for food and drinks.

Enjoy a 45minute glide down the river with a tour guide. Enjoy the lush green vegetation and scenery as you wind down the river. Stop at the midway and swing from a rope plunging into a 20 feet deep natural pool. Swim and enjoy the pool area before you continue to tube down the river. If you would however rather something quieter or romantic for you and your partner, enjoy a two-passenger ride on a sturdy bamboo raft. Your rafter guide may give you some information about the area as well. At the midway point, you may stop for refreshments before continuing your rafting journey.

Burwood Beach

A public beach not too far away from the town of Falmouth. Swim in the cool, clear crystal water of the Caribbean Sea. The water is about not too deep so you won't need to worry about venturing out to far. Laze on sugar sands under one of the gazebos. Non- hassling vendors may pass periodically to sell a refreshing drink or a trinket of some kind. Visit the thatch roof bar at the end of the beach for a cool Jamaican beer or other drink that you choose. This is a nice trip for you and your family.

Rio Bueno Tubing

Travel along the paths in St. Ann until you reach a series of pools and falls. You can enjoy a cool swim in one the pools or sit under the cascading water of the falls for a natural massage. As you climb the falls you will be surrounded by a natural oasis of beautiful vegetations, cool spring water and natural rock formations. Reaching the top of the falls take a moment to enjoy the beauty of your surrounding and stop for one last swim as you descend. You may also enjoy kayaking on the river. After a brief hike along the river bank and a quick safety check from your guide, your kayak will be launched into the cool water of the river. You and your partner will be led by a guide as the swift currents of the river take you downstream through rivers rapids and natural pools. Though it may be hard to notice, the scene around you is quite beautiful. However, the rapids begin to fade as your kayak takes you into the calm Caribbean Sea. Once at sea, you and your partner paddle until you reach the beach for a cool drink and some relaxation.

Green Grotto Caves

The Green Grotto Caves, also known as the Runaway Caves, are located just under 2 miles from the spot which Christopher Columbus landed in 1494. The caves were a haven for runaway slaves in the 18th century and between the two World Wars, were used by smugglers running from arms to Cuba. The caves feature a series of interconnected passageways and chambers, light holes, stalactites and stalagmites, as well as two lakes.
